Our doctors and friendly team are excited to welcome you to our Freeport Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontic practice. At FKD and Orthodontics, we are dedicated to offering honest treatment recommendations and specialized care for each and every one of our patients. Kids Check-ups and Oral Hygiene
Routine dental cleanings, fluoride treatment. and exams are important for your child to maintain good oral hygiene and prevent decay and disease.

Nitorus Oxide “laughing gas”
Your child will be kept safe and comfortable throughout the procedure, and will likely not remember a thing about it afterwards.

OUR DOCTORS
Dr. Hector Peña
Orthodontist
​
Dr. Pena is a board-certified specialist in Orthodontics and has been practicing since 2002. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at University of Puerto Rico Medical Science Campus. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Pena moved to NY and completed a General Practice Residency. He practiced general dentistry for over 9 years before returning to complete an additional 3 years of intensive, full-time training in the specialty of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Nina Laracuente
Orthodontist / Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Nina is a board-certified dual specialist in Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. Dr. Laracuente received her dental training from University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus, where she graduated at the top of her class, and earned her Dental Medicine Doctor degree. She then continued her post-graduate education in Pediatric Dentistry at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital and in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Montefiore Medical Center.
Dr. Desiree Laracuente
Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Desiree is a board-certified specialist in Pediatric Dentistry and has been practicing since 2005. She graduated at the top of her class and earned her Dental Medicine Doctor Degree (D.M.D) from the University of Puerto Rico- Medical Sciences Campus. She then continued her post-graduate training in Pediatric Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Center- University of Rochester.
